OCO's Projects

These projects are aimed at stabilizing the conditions of orphans and other vulnerable children in South Sudan with immediate effect.
OCO's highly experienced and qualified team members have fully endorsed the implementation of the following projects unconditionally.

Establishment of three orphanages across the country

Collection and reunification of street children with their parents/relatives

Establishment of three major orphans schools across the country

OCO provides education to the orphans opening OCO schools, recruiting people to teach them, and promoting educational activities in its three intended orphanages.

Provision of childcare, arts, and music

OCO is so much willing to provide recreational activities such as arts, music, etc. to its beneficiaries for their transformation into a normal way of other members of the society.
It humbly embraces its children in motherly childcare as symbolized by its logo.

Medical and healthcare (Vulnerable Children Health Initiative)

It plans to provide medical and health care programs to its beneficiaries.

Games and Sports

OCO provides games and sports to the children in order to keep them engaged and help them to develop positive attitudes towards each other.

Promotion of social justice

OCO has also intended to invest in social justice like other CBOs in some ways such as through focusing on healthcare access, freedom of expression, non-discrimination, etc.

Provision of aids to the orphans (Vulnerable Children Feeding Program)

OCO intends to provide aid to the orphans by bringing water, food, medicine, clothing, and many more necessities.

Food security and rehabilitation program

The main goal of this program is to reduce rural poverty by rehabilitating and reconstructing rural livelihoods through sustainable rural agriculture promotion.
It actually aims at promoting food security of vulnerable communities and specifically building the productive capacity of vulnerable households to improve agricultural productivity.

Emergency livelihoods recovery intervention of war-affected children

The organization intends to alleviate the sufferings of the most vulnerable war-affected children whose future has been endangered by the recent communal conflicts and political discords.
It aims at identifying and selecting this category of children by supporting their guardians.
It intends to promote the following activities for the benefit of this group:
1 – Provision of material needs such as blankets, mosquito nets, and sleeping mats for the affected individuals.
2 – Provision of seeds and farming tools to empower the beneficiaries.
3 – Sensitizing the communities on the importance of children’s good nurturing.

HIV/AIDS program

It promotes HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns that are aimed at reducing the possibility of vulnerable children contracting the diseases.
It supports Voluntary Counselling Testing Centres across the nation.
It encourages yearly HIV/AIDS testing of street children and other vulnerable children in the country to monitor their health on the virus and create awareness on the vulnerable children's unsafety.

Community Peace Building Programme

This activity shall be done by implementing the following objectives:
1 – Conducting Peace-conferences among different communities in partnership with other concerned agencies in order to ensure the prevalence of peace in the society.
2 – Supporting the provision of vital services e.g. schools, water points, etc. to the beneficiaries.
3 – Promotion of sports and other inter-cultural activities among school children.

Encouragement of vulnerable children suitable access to Education.

Payment of vulnerable children’s school fees and other significant requirements to increase the chances of vulnerable children's possibility of attaining education.
Conducting training to school management bodies and Parents Teachers Associations on the importance of vulnerable groups (children) education.
It encourages the school management through workshops in order to consider almost free education of orphans and other vulnerable children in their schools for the national benefits.

Addressing psychological problems of vulnerable children

Since vulnerable children are exposed to hopelessness, fear, anxiety, psychosomatic disorders, chronic depression, low self-esteem, learning disabilities, and disturbed social behaviors OCO takes charge in training their minds and securing their mental health.
OCO looks into promoting all these positive activities in order to promote the friendliness of the environment to humanity. It seeks co-workers with God to promote its objectives.
